This set of photos includes shots from Prague.  I went there to present at a conference on cloud computing.  There are a number of shots from the Jewish Quarter.  The cloth for the Torah is from the 15th century.  The graveyard is the graveyard from the Old New Synagogue, which was completed in 1270.  There is a plaque for Avignon Kara, an ancient scholar and cabalist.

Prague is where the Golem myth takes place.  Finally, the last photo - bottom right - shows a very fancy structure.  A very unassuming building is on the far right of the picture - with a window open in the attic.  This is the gothic Old New Synagogue.   This window is where Golem supposedly peaked out onto the streets of Prague to protect the Jews from persecution by the local authorities.  It is this attic level that is claimed to currently be its resting place.
