Brugge is a place that
time forgot. When their port filled with silt a few hundred years ago, the
activity moved onto other ports. Brugge never had the money or inclination
to "modernize" so they now have a city that looks pretty much like it looked in
the 1600's. Watch for the pictures of the lady doing lace work by hand.
I bought a ton of chocolate and - well - it's all gone....
We returned to Antwerp.
I went into the center of the old town (which grew up around the church).
I linked up with a jazz band and intended to go back to the ship, get my fiddle
and sit in, but the ship was ready to leave dock when I got back. Well,
you can't dance at all the weddings....
